Dessert in a Glass. Delicate Pudding

Dessert in a Glass. Delicate Pudding

Hello, friends!

Today I have the simplest recipe for you to create a true dessert magic in a glass. This recipe is so easy that even little chefs can handle it effortlessly. Are you ready to give it a try? Well then, let’s activate the magic mode and let’s create a culinary wonder with our own hands!

  • Milk – 150 ml
  • Cornstarch – 1 tablespoon (8-10 g)
  • Sugar – 1 tablespoon (15 g)
  • Egg (60-65 g) – 1 piece
  • Vanilla sugar (or extract) – 1 teaspoon (5 g)
  • Cocoa powder – 2 teaspoons (for decoration)
  • Orange – 1 slice (for serving)

*Take the milk and eggs out of the refrigerator in advance so that they are at room temperature.

*You can use potato starch instead of cornstarch, but in any case, the starch should be sifted – Sifting the starch helps to avoid lumps and ensures a more even distribution of starch in the mixture. The sifting process will help achieve a smoother and more uniform texture of the dessert.

Cooking process:

1.In a small saucepan, whisk the egg (using a fork or mixer, it’s better to use a mixer for this recipe).

2.Add the sugar and gradually add all the cornstarch.

3.Beat well until the sugar is completely dissolved.

4.Gradually and carefully, while stirring, add the milk. Do it gradually to avoid lumps

5.Place the saucepan over medium heat and, stirring constantly, bring the mixture to a boil

6.Reduce the heat and cook, stirring, for another 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens to the desired consistency.

7.Remove the saucepan from the heat, add the vanilla, and mix well.

8.Allow the mixture to cool for about 15 minutes.

9.Transfer the mixture to glasses. According to this recipe, you’ll get exactly 2 glasses

10.Usually, cocoa powder is used for decoration just before serving, but I like a dark brown crust, so I add cocoa powder while the dessert is still warm. Here’s how to add cocoa powder: Cover the glass halfway with paper or a knife, sprinkle cocoa powder into a sieve, and sift it onto our glass, you can create any pattern you like.

11.Place the dessert in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.

12.Remove the dessert, decorate with a slice of orange.

*You can not only use oranges or any other fruits to garnish the dessert but also use them as a filling. Finely chop the fruits, place them in the glass, and then pour the mixture over them. Adjust the amount of sugar depending on the fruit.

That’s the whole recipe!

Cook with pleasure!

And here are some chef’s tips for beginner cooks. Here are some mistakes that you might encounter when cooking this recipe:

*It’s important to mix the egg, starch, and sugar correctly to avoid lumps. Make sure all the ingredients are well mixed, and the sugar is completely dissolved.

*When heating the mixture of milk and eggs, it’s crucial to stir constantly to avoid the formation of lumps and burning at the bottom of the saucepan. Do not leave the mixture unattended and maintain medium heat.

*When adding the vanilla sugar, make sure it dissolves well in the hot mixture to ensure an even distribution of flavor.

*When pouring the mixture into glasses, leave a small space on top to allow the dessert to cool and set.

*Don’t rush to serve the dessert immediately. Let it cool and set in the refrigerator. This will help achieve the right consistency and taste.

That’s all, if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
