Pork neck in the oven

The recipe for a delicious and juicy pork neck. Even after two days (if you have it), it will be just as juicy


  • Pork neck – 2.5 kg
  • Paprika – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 2 tablespoons
  • Onions – 2 medium onions
  • Garlic – 5 cloves
  • Vegetable oil – 50 ml
  • Mineral water (carbonated) – 100-150 ml

Thoroughly rinse and dry the pork neck.
We make small cuts and stuff the meat with garlic cloves. (Garlic is best cut in half so that it can saturate the meat with more flavor)

Rub the meat with a mixture of salt and paprika

Let lie down for 10-15 minutes

Cut the onion in half rings, and carefully crush it (so that the onion gives juice) and spread the onion on the meat.

Mix meat with onion

Let lie down for 10-15 minutes

Coat meat with vegetable oil

Add 100-150 ml of carbonated mineral water

It is best to do all this in a deep container, which can then be put in the oven.

Cover the meat with clingfilm and refrigerate overnight. (You can cook already after 1-2 hours, but it is better to hold for a day)

After a day, we take out the meat, remove the film, cover with foil and put in an oven preheated to 200 degrees *С

Bake at 200 degrees – 40 minutes

Then reduce the temperature to 160 degrees and bake for another 60 minutes

After 60 minutes, remove the foil and bake for 10-15 minutes to get a golden crust.
